San
Francisco is a county seat located in San Francisco County and
lies southwest of
Sacramento along the U.S Highway 101, on
the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The San Francisco Bay
is one of the foremost natural harbors. San Francisco is the
fourth largest city of California State and a major center of
finance, technology, culture, and tourism. This city has a good
educational influence of
schools and
colleges with
noted universities as the Best University of California located at
San Francisco. San Francisco has a cultural crown i.e. the San
Francisco symphony considered one of the stars of the city. It
also has a number of museums reflecting it as a cosmopolitan city
of the state.
San Francisco has a natural beauty, which comprises of a variety
of landscapes, cool, foggy beaches, beautiful city skylines, and
redwood and oak forests. The San Francisco bay area attractions
are a Point Reyes National Seashore, Golden Gate National
Recreation Area, 13 State
theme parks, as Angel island
statepark and one state reserve, 13 state
beaches, three
state recreation parks and three state historic parks. The climate
of San Francisco bay ranges from foggy on pacific coast to hot and
sunny only a few miles inland showing a varied pallet of
microclimates. The San Francisco peninsula on which San Francisco
perches includes Silicon Valley and Stanford University. The San
Francisco international airport is the worlds 9th principal
busiest international airport located to the south of San
Francisco. It has three terminal buildings around a central garage
for short-term parking, the central garage and long term shuttle
lot. The airport car rental center has 8 car rental agencies and
shuttle services from terminals. The most popular attractions in
the area including the Golden Gate Bridge, The Palace of Fine
Arts, Golden Gate Park and Twin Peaks (weather permitting).
GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE: The world's most beautiful bridge
connecting San Francisco with marin county, where driving, biking,
or walking 2 miles long bridge and look up from the tide pools at
bakers
beach or from a Frisbee toss at Crissy fields, both
in the adjoining Presidio.
NORTH BEACH: The North
beach considered the San
Francisco’s version of the red light district, is a bustling neon
home strip joints, bars, cafes and restaurants. It is called San
Francisco’s “little Italy” as like Italian heritage north beach
also holds beatnick legacy with the bohemian city lights Bookstore
at the corner of Columbus Ave and Jack Kerouac Alley
GOLDEN GATE PARK: This park in San Francisco is 1000 acre
area larger than central park and other
theme parks with
attraction as stybing arboretum and botanical garden, Japanese tea
garden, children’s playground, the Asian art
museum, the
California academy of sciences, aquarium, Morrison planetarium,
and laserium. It also has the open tennis courts, horse stables,
baseball diamonds, polo grounds, croquet and lawn-bowling greens,
an archery field, a golf course and a fly-fishing pool draw an
outdoorsy crowd year-round
THE PRESIDIO: This area in San Francisco was once a stretch
of grassy dunes, which was turned in to a sea swept and verdant
presidio. It has peaceful forest settings and
beaches,
historic buildings and an eclectic range of attractions, from an
idyllic, white-stoned cemetery to a bowling alley to a native
plant nursery, make up an odd but charming world. Former military
buildings are leased for residential and business use and new
projects most notably the George Lucas Letterman Digital Arts
Center. Cycling and hiking are also popular.
