The military power of the USA an be underlined from the very fact that California itself has 36 major military bases and 25 minor military installations making it the most in the country. Apart from these, there are many military research and development organizations and army testing centers as well. Every military base is fully equipped with the state of the art facilities for combating any insurgency situation.

Los Alamitos Air Field, California

The Los Alamitos Air Field situated in the premises of the Joint Forces Training Base (JTFB) military base was established way back in 1928 when the Naval Reserve Air Base was commissioned. It was a former Naval Air Base station situated in Orange County near the San Diego freeway. Many road networks surround the base. This airbase is a restricted zone.

The Marine Corps Air Station  Miramar Military Base, California

The Miramar Marine Corps Air Station is situated in San Diego, covering over 24 thousand acres of land making it one of the largest military bases in California. The military base air station is extremely busy with almost 250 aircraft flights scheduled per day and over 200000 flight operations every year!

Edward Air force Military Base, California

The Edwards Air Force military base is located at Kern in Los Angeles, California. The air base covers a huge land space of over 300 thousand acres. This land is either completely undeveloped or semi-developed. This kind of geographical positioning of the military base has been done to test ranging aircrafts plus landing purposes.

Los Angeles Military Air Force Base, California

Established in 1954 at El Segundo, the Los Angeles Air Force military base houses the head quarters for the Material Command Space (Air Force) and Missile System Center. The military base facilities are responsible for managing, researching and developing plus acquiring military space systems. Later in 1982, the military base was expanded by acquiring Lawndale facility and Fort McArthur, two annexes.

Naval Weapons Station, California

The Naval Weapons Station, military base is located at Seal Beach in California. The military base has its detachments situated at Fallbrook, San Diego and Concord, all in California. The military base was designed and commissioned for providing storage of naval weapons, loading material onto ships, maintenance and support to the United States Pacific Fleet, sea vessels and submarines. The military base also supports the Coast Guard ships and the Marine Corps.
